1. Overview
Genesis AI Browser Tools (hereinafter referred to as the "Extension") is a productivity extension developed by Plato Bilişim Group that runs on the Google Chrome browser. This privacy policy describes in detail all user data that the Extension collects, uses, stores, and shares.
The Extension uses a local-first architecture. Core functionality runs entirely within your browser and does not transmit user data to external servers, except for license verification and payment processing as described below.
2. Data Collection
The Extension collects and processes the following data:
2.1 Data Stored Locally on Your Device
- User preferences and settings: In-extension app settings, theme preferences, and configuration data.
- Application state: Usage state and invocation counts for modular tools (summarization, translation, writing assistant, etc.).
- Kernel state: Journal and snapshot data for crash-only recovery.
- Anonymous install ID: A randomly generated UUID on your device; used solely for Pro license activation counting.
This data is stored exclusively in your browser via the chrome.storage.local and chrome.storage.session APIs.
2.2 Data Collected During License Verification
Only when a Pro license is purchased and verified:
- License key: Sent to the Genesis OS server for verification purposes.
- Install ID hash: Sent to the server for activation count enforcement. The original ID is never shared; only the hashed value is transmitted.
2.3 Data Collected During Payment
Only when purchasing a Pro license, through the payment processor Shopier:
- Email address: Used to deliver your license key.
- Name, address, and payment details: Processed by Shopier to complete the payment transaction.
2.4 Data NOT Collected
The Extension does not collect, track, or access externally:
- Browsing history
- Website content: Genesis OS requires access to "Website content" to function (e.g., to summarize or translate the current page). This content is processed locally in your browser and is never collected, stored, or transmitted to our servers.
- Personally identifiable information (except during license purchase)
- Location data
- Health or financial information
- User behavior analytics
- Cookies or third-party tracking data

4. Data Storage and Retention
- Local data (preferences, kernel state, app state): Stored in Chrome storage until the Extension is uninstalled. Uninstalling the Extension automatically deletes this data.
- License records: Retained for the duration of the license (monthly/yearly) plus an additional 90 days for support purposes.
- Founder Lifetime license records: Retained indefinitely.
- Payment information: Subject to Shopier's own data retention policy.
You may request deletion of your data by contacting us via email.
5. Third Parties With Whom Data Is Shared

Beyond the parties listed above, user data is not shared with any other third party.
- No analytics SDK (such as Google Analytics, Firebase, etc.) is embedded in the Extension.
- No advertising network is used.
- User data is not sold, used for marketing, or used for profiling.
- User data is not used or transferred for purposes unrelated to the Extension's core functionality.
6. Data Security
The Extension implements the following security measures to protect user data:
- All local data is stored through Chrome's built-in secure storage mechanisms (
chrome.storage.local, chrome.storage.session).
- License verification communication is conducted over HTTPS encryption.
- The install ID is hashed using SHA-256 before being sent to the server.
- The Extension operates in compliance with Manifest V3 security standards.
- Content Security Policy (CSP) is enforced to prevent unauthorized code execution.
7. User Rights
Users have the following rights:
- Right to access: You have the right to know what data is stored.
- Right to deletion: Local data can be completely removed by uninstalling the Extension. To delete server-side data, please contact us.
- Right to object: You may contact us with questions regarding our data processing practices.
8. Children's Privacy
The Extension is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect data from users under 13 years of age.
